Carpenters Workshop Gallery at PAD Paris, with a selection of luminous sculptures
From 21 to 26 March 2017, for the occasion of the 21st edition of PAD PARIS, Carpenters Workshop Gallery is pleased to present a selection of emblematic luminous sculptures, re-tracing 10 years of artistic research and innovation.
Shining a light on 10 years of Collectible Design
From the illuminated forests of Nacho Carbonell to the geometric neon sculptures of Morgane Tschiember, Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s booth at PAD PARIS is the occasion to re-visit these iconic creations and designers.
Through the works of Atelier Van Lieshout, Studio Job, Nacho Carbonell, Studio Drift, Stuart Haygarth, Mathieu Lehanneur, Random International, Giacomo Ravagli, Morgane Tschiember and Studio Job, Carpenters Workshop Gallery pays homage to light in all its forms.
Reinventing light
Here, light is a primary material. Then, with the implementation of cutting-edge technology, it is sculpted, metamorphosed and meanders around bold shapes.
Through this, Studio Drift, Random International, as well as Mathieu Lehanneur invite the visitor into a sensory experience at the forefront of scientific development, where new technologies transcend light. In contrast, the works of Studio Job and Stuart Haygarth, are marked with their signature irony, using lit objects as a pretext for more extravagant narrations.
Within the continuity of the anniversary programme, Carpenters Workshop Gallery remind us of ‘Art Light’, a travelling exhibition which will open, following showings in Paris and New York, in London on 17 May 2017, offering the discovery of light in all its states.
