Custot Gallery Dubai presents a groupe exhibition of photography 'Created Realities'
Custot Gallery Dubai is pleased to announce the opening of a group exhibition of photography from the 20th and 21st centuries, opening 27 September and running until 28 October 2017.
A central theme of the works on view is the presence of mankind. A truly global range of photographs, the exhibition explores humans’ interactions with their environment, as well as the impact and mark left behind. The image as a means of storytelling leads to an investigation of the spaces human beings inhabit and develop, bringing into question the agency of the people captured on lm.
Rhona Bitners practice researches into the art of the performance, in which Man is the central actor. While the work of Jeanloup Seiff quite literally fabricates playful, never-before imagined realities.
William Klein, renowned for his fashion photography and photo essays on cities, has been a central gure in photography since the 1950’s.
With additional photographs by Nick Brandt, Rene Burri, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, Lawrence Beck, Marc Riboud and Pia Torelli, this exhibition celebrates a diverse range of styles and techniques, as well as traversing numerous historical moments and locations.
