BROWSE THE CATALOGUE OF THE EXHIBITION BY JITISH KALLAT, GALERIE DANIEL TEMPLON
Galerie Templon has commissioned Communic’Art to create and publish an exclusive catalogue for the exhibition dedicated to Jitish Kallat’s work.
In The Infinite Episode the art critic Chantal Pontbriant and the philosopher Homi K. Bhabha anyalyze the sculptures, photographs, videos and designs that the artist is currently presenting at the gallery in the eponymous exhibition.
Jitish Kallat embodies the renewal of contemporary Indian art. In The Infinite Episode, he questions the forces of nature at work in artistic creation. The catalogue explains the thoughts which have led him to the creation of these multiple works, which express themselves here in sculpture, video, installation and photography.
Jitish Kallat lives and works in Mumbai where he was born in 1974. He was widely exhibited by several international institutions, including the Tate Modern Gallery in London, the Mori Art Museum (Tokyo, 2008) and the Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The artist will sign his book at FIAC on Sunday 25th October 2015, after a discussion meeting with Catherine David, the curator, commissioner and co-director of the Musée National d’Art Moderne alongside Chantal Pontbriand, curator and art critic.
