Daniel Templon has confided in Communic'Art for the creation and edition of the catalogue for Jan Fabre's exhibition " Do we feel with our brain and think with our heart ? " which will take place in his brussel gallery from 23 April to 31 May 2014.

For his first gallery exhibition in Brussels, artist Jan Fabre is presenting a new installation gathering sculptures, drawings and film including two monumental sculptures made from white Carrara marble.

For over 35 years, Jan Fabre has emerged internationally as one of the most innovative visual artist as well as theater artist and author of his generation. As a romantic humanist, Fabre has turned to marble in his quest to investigate the brain, the physical counterpart of the intellect and seat of creativity. The artist creates startling associations with objects, fruit and food used in Rizzolatti’s experiments based on the cerebral activities with anthropoid.

The preview showing of his new film " Do we feel with our brain and with our heart ? " is at the heart of an installation, a conversation between the artist and Rizzolatti, discoverer of the mirror neurons that are the basis of the capacity for empathy.

The trilingual catalogue, created by Communic’Art, presents all the works of the exhibition with comments by art critics Bart Verschaffel and Melania Rossi.
