A CATALOGUE ON PASCAL PINAUD FOR LE MODERN ART MUSEUM OF SAINT ÉTIENNE
Born in 1964, Pascal Pinaud obtained a diploma from the Villa Arson in Nice in 1998. He has developed a specific way to turn over, circumvent, and divert the notion of painting.
With a humoristic and ludicrous approach, yet involved and demanding, Pascal Pinaud offers new perspectives on abstraction and on the different artistic movements that have preceded him.
A catalogue accompanies the exhibition presented from September 12 to November 20 at the Museum.
Largely illustrated, this catalogue presents over 40 works, 20 reproduced on a full page. With a clean layout and a single color punctuating each section, a good hierarchy of information is obtained and allows for a clear reading of the artist’ work.
The catalogue presents two complementary texts, an introduction by Lorand Hegyi, director of the Museum and curator of the exhibition, and a text by Thierry Davila, curator at the capcMusée d’art contemporain in Bordeaux.
Bilingual, handy and accessible, this catalogue is a considerable tool both for those who discover the work of Pascal Pinaud and those who are trying to deepen their knowledge about it.
This catalogue is distributed through the exclusive network that Communic’Art’s partner, Catalogallery.com, has established with 50 bookstores in France with an Art books section, and with Amazon.fr.
