FAUTRIER, FONTANA AND POMODORO ON TORNABUONI'S BOOTH FOR TEFAF MAASTRICHT
From March 13 to 22, for its fourth participation at TEFAF, Tornabuoni Art Paris will be presenting a selection of historical works all signed by 20th Century Italian and international artists.
With this Concetto Spaziale by Lucio Fontana, the artist broke away from the flatness of the canvas.
By puncturing the surface of his works, he created a dimension of space, overstepping the boundaries of the pictorial codes of the paintings that became sculptures.
Also present on the booth, Sfera con sfera by Arnaldo Pomodoro,
His artistic career, started in 1960, is based on the notion of spatiality and is expressed through various geometrical forms - such as the sphere -adding erosions and fractures to Pomodoro's Work and focusing on breaking perfection by opening the inner part.
