Building on great success in the international art scene, Stephane Custot is pleased to announce the upcoming opening on March 14, 2016 in Dubai of a brand new space: Custot Gallery Dubai.

This new step will serve to enrich a long personal and professional path, undertaken 25 years ago in Paris then London with the Waddington Custot Galleries, in a continuously evolving art world.

Set within the vibrant Alserkal Avenue district, Dubai’s newest artistic heart, this new exhibition space is the result of a desire to share a pioneering vision of Art.

The multicultural city of Dubai, crossroads of East and West, is bursting today with exciting projects and becoming a dynamic cultural hub.

Custot Gallery Dubai will in fact consist of a vast 700 square meters space with 9 meters high ceilings, offering artists a complete freedom of expression; whether through innovative stage designs or monumental creations.

The curatorial calendar of Custot Gallery Dubai will showcase major figures in Modern Art such as Calder, Miro, Picasso, de Staël, alongside contemporary names including Soulages, Indiana, Halley, Verdier and Davenport.

Supported by the exigency and expertise that are so valuable to Stephane Custot, the exhibition will be an opportunity to present atypical works in the region in an open dialogue between East and West. To attract appreciation of these artworks in Dubai will be an ambitious plan, an interesting challenge and a source of great joy.

The World Meets Here, Custot Gallery Dubai inaugural group show, will bring together artists from China, Europe and the United-States in a comprehensive survey celebrating Modern and Contemporary works. An outstanding ensemble of pieces will be showcased with masterpieces by: Chu Teh-Chun, Ian Davenport, Jean Dubuffet, Peter Halley, Robert Indiana, Jedd Novatt, Marc Quinn, Pablo Reinoso, James Rosenquist, Pierre Soulages, Frank Stella, Bernar Venet, Fabienne Verdier, Zao Wou-Ki.
