Moinard Bétaille SIGNS THE SCENOGRAPHY OF THE 12TH PLANCHE(S) CONTACT FESTIVAL IN DEAUVILLE, OCT. 23TH 2021 > JAN. 2TH 2022
The architects and interior designers Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille, from the Moinard Bétaille agency, have signed the scenography of the exhibitions of the Planches Contact Festival in Deauville dedicated to contemporary photography.
It is with great joy that the two interior designers, who head the eponymous agency, accepted the invitation of Laura Serani, director of the event, to honor the eighth art.
For this 12th edition placed under the sign of the journey, the creators imagined a scenography in the form of an initiatory course taking anchor in various places of the city. At the Franciscaines, in the large exhibition hall, the staging thought up by the duo reveals the unpublished works of the photographers invited in residence of creation and the Tremplin Jeunes Talents.
Claire Bétaille, trained at the École du Louvre, has learned to observe in order to understand.
A painter himself, Bruno Moinard has nurtured for several decades, in parallel to his activity, a deep passion for the gaze.
"It is an honor and a great joy for us to be able to participate in the cultural life of the city of Deauville, through an event as important as this festival of contemporary photography. We know how important it is for the public to be able to take ownership of a work and this moment is the very foundation of the success of the Planches Contact Festival.
Created in 2010, Planches Contact presents the work of photographers invited in residence to Deauville to match their photographic universe with the city.
This year, for the first time, an important place will be dedicated to the moving image with screenings and the co-production of films.
Year after year, the festival encourages and associates the crossed views of recognized photographers, emerging photographers and young photographic talents
