There has been a flourish of news concerning Jean-Michel Othoniel’s studio recently, with the inauguration of three fountain sculptures at the heart of the gardens of Versailles, for the restoration of the ‘Théâtre d’Eau’: a project that has arisen at a moment of full maturity of Othoniel’s career.

Since Louis XVI, this is the first time the decision has been taken, after a competition, to trust a contemporary artist to become involved in a sustainable way in the design of the gardens…

Othoniel’s studio has entrusted Communic’Art’s guidance on its new website Othoniel.fr (now online) as well as the coordination of its creation.

In 2014, Communic’Art issued an invitation to tender for the conception, design, and technical development of the new website, won by UZIK agency. 

The website structure reflects the three complementary aspects of Jean-Michel Othoniel’s world: the artist’s personal story, his achievements and current projects, and life of the studio. 

An original website navigation has been chosen, using a “cross way” format, to allow users to come and go easily, browsing on their mobile from one domain to another.

Communic’Art partnered Othoniel Studio throughout the website creation to ensure its smooth running in-line with the targets.
