Museum TV has announced its programming for the coming months with unmissable not-to-be-missed shows which will give a visual overview of the destinies and works of the greatest artists of history, from the Renaissance to the present day.
From Michelangelo to Andy Warhol via Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso or Frida Kahlo, the channel will unveil intimate portraits of artists by exploring little-known facets of their lives. The greatest masterpieces will also be analysed and deciphered in an attempt to unravel the mysteries of their creation.
After an uncertain year for the cultural sector and at a time when museums are closed, Museum TV intends, more than ever, to keep its promise to make art accessible to as many people as possible. Through original and varied programmes, eclectic themes and an approach that is ever more playful, surprising and exciting, Museum TV will put creation in the spotlight in 2021.
IN FEBRUARY: VAN GOGH & ANTIQUES ROADSHOW
Van Gogh alone embodies the myth of the cursed artist. His work is part of the Post-Impressionist movement, but his innovative work also heralds Fauvism and Expressionism. A true legend, his works are among the most sought-after in the world.
For more than 30 years, Antiques Roadshow has been travelling around the United Kingdom and meeting its inhabitants and their family treasures: jewelry, porcelain, paintings, toys and the decorative arts.
IN MARCH : WOMEN IN ART
Muses, models, collectors, influential women and of course artists! If the history of art seemed to have forgotten them, they are now at last considered at their true value, essential.
IN APRIL : DA VINCI AND MICHELANGELO
Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo are two emblematic artists of the Renaissance. Sometimes rivals during their careers, they each embody the figure of genius in their own way. 500 years after their death, these two great painters still fascinate us.
IN MAY: MONET, MANET, RENOIR
All three marked the 19th century. Together, they represent the transition from tradition to modernity.
IN JUNE: ANDY WARHOL
A star-artist but also controversial, Andy Warhol is the major figure of Pop Art in the United States in the twentieth century.
IN JULY & AUGUST - THE BEST OF MUSEUM TV

IN SEPTEMBER - PICASSO AND DALI
