A CATALOGUE ON ALAIN DELON‘S COLLECTION FOR GALERIE APPLICAT-PRAZAN
From April 28 until May 26, 2007, Alain Delon presents his collection of works by masters of the 1950s at Galerie Applicat-Prazan : Appel, Jorn, Constant, Corneille, Atlan, Bram van Velde, Soulages, Schneider, Hartung, Bryen, Manessier, Estève, Bazaine, Vieira da Silva, Degottex, Riopelle, de Staël, Dubuffet, Lanskoy and Debré.
« Alain Delon has gathered a group of exceptional works that perfectly illustrate the history of painting in the 1950s», writes Michel Ragon, art critic, in the foreword of the catalogue.
Alain Delon, who gathered these major paintings with wisdom and accuracy, has never given them public access until today. They reflect the true passion of a myth, but before all, of a man, for Art.
« What a joy and a privilege to penetrate in the world of a Collector! After intimidation, astonishment takes over, then quickly admiration », says with fascination the dealer Franck Prazan.
Texts by Michel Ragon, Franck Prazan and Pierre Cornette de Saint Cyr offer various viewpoints on this collection.
A limited series of 1 000 copies, the catalogue contains twenty-four works presented in full-page and with texts by Lydia Harambourg, an historian and art critic.
This catalogue is distributed by our partner PARIS MUSÉES in 300 bookstores in France, including 50 specialized with an Art section. The catalogue will be listed in over forty (40) professional databases and online bookstores, including Fnac, Amazon and Dilicom.
The catalogue will also be distributed in Europe, North America, Canada and Eastern Europe
