LouiSimone Guirandou Gallery is pleased to renew "Découvertes", its summer exhibition dedicated to highlighting emerging artists on the international art scene. This fourth exhibition will be held from 7 July to 3 September 2022, with the participation of Aïssatou Ciss, Theophany Adoh, Aude Guirauden, Ibn Cheickh Sallah Diebkile, Wanger Ayu and Stéphane Cuxac.

 

This exhibition, which focuses on the young generation, will bring together the worlds of six artists, three men and three women, on the walls of the gallery in Abidjan. Each artist will display, with his or her singular sensibility, his or her ontological perception of the world, of what links individuals to their territory, to their history and therefore to their identity. 

 

The six artists, with their varied backgrounds and careers, offer us a snapshot of a part of the emerging art scene, with its audacity and its ambitions.

 

They work with photography, painting, drawing and assemblage. They come from Senegal, Ivory Coast, France and Nigeria... The diversity of the artists' origins and the mediums they use seems emblematic of the richness of contemporary creations that this new generation of artists proudly carries.
