Parcours des mondes brought to a close its 19th edition, in the legendary neighbourhood of Saint- Germain-des-Près, in Paris on Sunday, 13 September.

For several months the whole Parcours team worked alongside the participating art dealers to make sure that this international fair, the most important in the world for tribal art, could still take place, despite the public health context.

42 galleries – who came mainly from Europe – participated, offering remarkable pieces brought together especially for this exceptional event. The considered thematic exhibitions marked out the route of the Parcours.

An exceptional partnership between Parcours des mondes and La Monnaie de Paris, meant that the exhibition “Akan, the values of trade” was inaugurated on the same date as this special edition of the fair, demonstrating the richness and variety of these unique pieces.

For the duration of the fair, art lovers and collectors came together, the majority from France, but also from Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.

All of the art dealers, without exception, sold a number of pieces, proving again that Parcours des mondes is the best international fair for its specialty.
