As part of SITEM 2026, the Mémorial de la Shoah and MEMORIST are presenting the conference “Collecting, Authenticating and Preserving Genocide Archives” on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 12:30 pm in the Delorme conference room.

The event will bring together Karen Taieb, Head of Archives at the Mémorial de la Shoah, along with three MEMORIST collaborators: Adèle Parrilla, Director of External Relations; Lorraine Zapf, Project Manager in Historical Engineering; and Émilie Jobard, Head of Digitization Projects. Together, they will present the methods implemented to collect, authenticate, process, and digitize archives related to the Shoah, from private donations to their integration into the Mémorial’s documentary collections.

MEMORIST is a center of unique expertise born from the alliance of high value-added skills dedicated to the preservation and sharing of heritage. Its 300 experts deploy their know-how in consulting, restoration, digitization, and transmission of all forms of heritage, both in France and internationally. They support museums, cultural and archival institutions, private companies, and NGOs in their heritage projects. The combination of artisanal techniques and innovative technologies, driven by human expertise, enables the management of tailor-made solutions and large-scale projects, deployed either on-site or within its production centers.

The Mémorial de la Shoah is a public-interest foundation. It works to promote the dissemination and teaching of the history of the Shoah to broad and diverse audiences, particularly school groups. The institution notably develops exhibitions within its own venues and externally, in France and abroad, while also circulating traveling exhibitions.
